The mission of Dress for Success Austin is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
Dress for Success Austin is committed to providing services and opportunities to help women establish a solid work history and permanently leave the cycle of poverty. Support extends far beyond the “suit” to a promise to each client of on-going support and information as she enters and remains in the employment arena.
Since 2003, Dress for Success Austin has supported and served over 16,000 women in Central Texas through referrals from 90+ non-profit and government agencies.
We provide all program services at no expense to the client or referral agency. Over 97% of our services are delivered through our dedicated team of volunteers.
5 WAYS TO EMPOWER WOMEN
1. Donate without spending a penny! Do you shop online? Go through our link and a % of the proceeds are donated by the company without any cost to you or Dress For Success Austin. Participating stores- Amazon, Target, Groupon, Expedia, Office Max and much more!
2. Become a Corporate Partner– We are looking for companies or individuals who are local community leaders to serve as our Corporate Partners and help support Dress for Success Austin.
3. Donate gently used or new professional attire, purses, shoes and accessories. Click here for a list of needs. Check out our toolkit for more information.
4. In kind-donations. Donate raffle items for our fundraising events, volunteer and member appreciation receptions.

Dress for Success Austin values women. We serve women from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, including women from many racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as women of all abilities and strengths, women that are experiencing homelessness, mental illness, were formerly incarcerated, are non-English speakers and from the LGBTQ+ community. We meet women where they are, and we want our clients to see themselves represented in every aspect of who we are – staffing, volunteers, board members and all affiliate organizations.
