How do they operate? Each Dress for Success affiliate location is a member of Dress for Success Worldwide and is an independent nonprofit with its own policies, staff and board of directors. The Worldwide office licenses the Dress for Success name to affiliates, but each affiliate provides all services at no cost to the community, and relies on community partners for support.
  • What is Dress for Success Worldwide? Located in New York City, Dress for Success Worldwide was established to oversee and provide support to our affiliates around the globe.   • How can I make a clothing donation? Dress for Success Austin relies on individual contributions of business attire and accessories to make our clients look and feel their best! However, the vast array of workforce development programs require monetary support to operate.
  • How can I make a financial gift to Dress for Success Austin? You can make monetary contributions to Dress for Success Austin online, by mail or in person. Checks can be made out to Dress for Success Austin at 701 Tillery Street, Auite A-5, Box 11, Austin, TX 78702. Credit card donations can be made by visiting our online donation portal or texting GIVECONFIDENCE to 44-321.   • Are clothing and financial donations to Dress for Success tax deductible? How do I obtain a receipt?Dress for Success affiliates in the U.S. have 501(c)(3) tax status from the IRS.  All donations are therefore tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

  • Is there an organization like Dress for Success for men?Career Gear provides career counseling, interview coaching, business clothing, and follow-up job support to men actively seeking employment. For more information, email info@careergear.org. 
  • What type of clothing and products does Dress for Success accept?To ensure that an article of clothing or suit is appropriate for our clients, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable wearing it on an interview or to a new hob.  If the answer is yes, then we would accept it. In addition, we accept unopened toiletries and new cosmetics, handbags, jewelry, and shoes. Our highest priority needs can be found on our Amazon Wish List.   • How can I become a volunteer? What volunteer opportunities are available in my community? Dress for Success is a volunteer-driven organization.  Simply put, the individuals who donate their time and talent to us make it possible for us to fulfill our mission.  
  • My company would like to donate new merchandise to Dress for Success. Whom do I contact? Please e-mail our corporate contributions manager at product@gpz900r.net. 
  • Will my local affiliate pick up my donation? Dress for Success is a volunteer-run organization, and most locations simply do not have the necessary resources or staff to provide this service. Please contact your local affiliate for more information about its donation policies.

  • How can I organize a clothing drive? Contact your local Dress for Success directly to find out about the organization’s needs and how to obtain a toolkit. Some affiliates hold other types of drives as well and collect handbags, accessories, shoes or funds to purchase items.
